About
I am the founder and ritual architect of the Temple of Bacchus, a living revival of ecstatic Bacchic tradition inspired by the ancient rites and the reforms attributed to Paculla Annia.
My work is rooted in history but not confined by it. We do not know exactly what Paculla taught — only that she changed the rules, expanded the rites, and reshaped the Bacchanalia into something more secretive, initiatory, and transformative. I take that as a mandate: to listen, to build, and to let the tradition speak in its own voice.
Through The Thyrsus, I write the mythic narratives, doctrines, and ritual structures that form the backbone of this living path. I treat every act of authorship as a sacred gesture — a continuation of the ecstatic current that once moved through groves, caves, and nocturnal rites.
My focus is simple: ecstasy over hierarchy, transformation over obedience, and the unmasking of the self.
I am committed to shaping a Bacchic tradition that is sensual, initiatory, and alive — a path for those who feel the pulse of the vine in their bones and seek a way of being that is honest, embodied, and free.
I live in Suffolk, VA, where I continue to craft the canon of the Temple of Bacchus and guide the unfolding mythos of this tradition as it finds its voice again.
